single vineyard in the municipality of Flörsheim-Dalsheim (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The site was first mentioned in documents in 1286 with the name "retro montem" and in 1358 with the name "uf dem berge". The south-east to east-facing vineyards at an altitude of 150 to 260 metres above sea level with a slope of 10 to 35% cover 84 hectares of vines. The soils consist mainly of loess, as well as marl, sandy loam, stony loamy clay and ochre-coloured limestone. The high lime content ensures an ideal acid balance in the wines. Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Blanc are the main grape varieties grown here. The wineries Göhring Wilfried, Keller Klaus, Müller Axel, Peth Wolfgang & René, Schales, Scherner-Kleinhanß and Sekthaus Raumland, for example, have shares.
