The red variety (also Gargiulo 14892) is a new breed between Ruby (2) x Ruby Cabernet, They are genes of Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera contain. The intersection of hybrid took place in Buenos Aires in Argentina by the breeder Angel Gargiulo at INTA (National Institute of Agricultural Technology). The name is formed by Caber net and INTA.
