Caberlot

The red grape variety comes from Italy, It was west of Verona in the 1950s Veneto discovered and selected by agronomist Remigio Bordini in an old vineyard. There will be a cross between Cabernet Franc x Merlot suspects, but it could also be a mutation about Merlot. The German wolf D. Rogosky came into contact with Bordini in the 1970s and created the name Caberlot for the variety. He founded in the municipality of Mercatale Valdarno in the province of Arezzo in the Tuscany the winery Il Carnasciale and planted the variety on around two hectares. In 2010, however, no stock was shown (Kym Anderson ).
