The red grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Cabernet Sauvignon x unknown resistance partners. Synonyms are Cabernet Jura 5-02, Valentin Blattner 5-02 and VB 5-02. They are genes from Vitis amurensis and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done in 1991 by the breeder and winery owner Valentin Blattner in Soyhières in the Swiss canton of Jura, the selection in the Freytag Rebschule in Neustadt / Lachen-Speyerdorf ( palatinate, Germany). The medium maturing hardy Vine is resistant to both mildews and Botrytis which is why they are considered PIWI Variety applies. It produces color-intensive, aromatic red wines with subtle nutmeg, The variety is in the Switzerland (19 ha), Germany and in Austria grown.
