The red variety (also M-43) is a new breed between Cabernet Franc x Zweigelt, The crossing took place in 1975 by the breeder Lubomír Glos in Moravská Nová Ves in Moravia. Of the variety protection was granted in 2001. The late-ripening, high-yielding vine is resistant to Botrytis, It yields dark, aromatic red wines with aromas Cassis, as well as storage potential. The variety is in Czech Republic especially grown in Moravia. In 2010, 212 hectares were recorded here.
