Callet Cas Concos

The red grape variety (also Callet Cas Concos Negro) comes from the island of Mallorca ( Spain ). According to 2011 DNA analysis it is from a natural cross Beba x Giro emerged. According to the biologist Dr. José Vouillamoz to only 19, which means too few DNA markers (see under molecular Genetics ). The variety was the parent of the two varieties also grown on Mallorca Callet and Manto Negro, The variety no longer plays a role; no holdings were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson ).
