Campo de la Guardia

Special wine-growing area in the municipality of Las Guardia in the province of Toledo south of Madrid in the Spanish region La Mancha (Castile-La Mancha). It became the highest Spanish wine quality level in 2009 Vino de Pago classified. The vineyards cover 81 hectares of vineyards on dark limestone soils. It will be the red wines Tempranillo. Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot. Syrah. Petit Verdot and Malbec ( Cot ), as well as the white wine variety Chardonnay (exclusively in the plot El Casar) cultivated. The area is in the complete possession of the winery Bodegas Martúe.
