The red variety is an interspecific new breed between Clinton x Black St Peters ( Black Alicante ). Synonyms are Arnold 16 and Hybride d'Arnold 16. They are genes of Vitis labrusca. Vitis riparia and Vitis vinifera contain. The intersection of hybrid took place in Canada by the private breeder Charles Arnold, It is called Kelter- and table grape used. With the same parents is also the new breed Brant emerged.
