Canada (grape variety)

This red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Clinton x Black St. Peters (Black Alicante). Synonyms are Arnold 16 and Hybride d'Arnold 16. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Canada by the private breeder Charles Arnold. It is used as a grape variety and table grape. The new variety Brant was also created with the same parents. No stock was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
