The Scottish wine journalist and wine critic Tom Cannavan is considered a pioneer regarding the Internet presence of the topic of wine. In his youth he was a singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band Restricted Code. Since 1995 he runs the wine website "wine-pages.com". It is considered one of the best in the world and was also by the wine pope Robert M. Parker mentioned in his "The Wine Buyer ֹ's Guide". Cannavan's book The Good Web Guide to Wine was published in 2000. He writes regular contributions on the subject of wine for the printing works Decanter, The Sunday Times, The Independent, World of Fine Wine and in Jancis Robinson issued Wine Report. In 2008, he was awarded the Louis Roederer Award honored as "International Online Writer of the Year". This year, he also founded the online magazine "The Wine Gang" with four other authors, in which wine tasting takes place (also live). Cannavan is also the "resident wine expert" on Fred MacAulay's BBC Radio Scotland Show "Macaulay & Co".
