The winegrowers' cooperative in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia was founded at the end of the 1960s. The winery is located 20 kilometres south of the municipality of Cormón. The approximately 120 members cultivate a total of around 385 hectares of vineyards. The winery became famous for its Vino della Pace peace wine, which is made from a vineyard of 600 grape varieties and has been sent to all heads of state worldwide. (see the relevant labels under artist's label). Microclimatic data is recorded by eight weather stations so that appropriate measures can be taken if necessary. Production is carried out in accordance with the certified ISO 9000 standard. (quality management). The red wine varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir), Schioppettino and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, as well as the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Friulano (Sauvignonasse), Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc), Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris), Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla and Picolit are cultivated. The product range includes DOC wines Collio Goriziano, Friuli Aquileia, Friuli Colli Orientali, Friuli Isonzo, Friuli Venezia Giulia and IGT wines. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine and grappa are also produced.
