In South Africa common name for a typical Cuvée for which there are no legal requirements or no uniform rule. The mixture consists of the native main or determining variety Pinotage (usually between 30-70%), as well as in different composition and use Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot and Shiraz, In part, the opinion prevails that the Pinotage share should not be too high. In order to be able to cite a grape variety on the label, the proportion must be at least 20%. The first producer using this name was Beyerskloof.
