DOC area for red wines and white wines in the Italian region of Lombardy. The zone includes the hilly areas of the municipalities of Capriano del Colle and Poncarale in the province of Brescia. Bianco (also known as Superiore and Frizzante) is made from Trebbiano di Soave or Trebbiano di Lugana = Verdicchio Bianco and/or Trebbiano Toscano (max. 60%), as well as other authorised varieties (max. 40%). Trebbiano (also known as Frizzante) is produced from Trebbiano di Soave or Trebbiano di Lugana and/or Trebbiano Toscano (max. 85%), as well as other authorised varieties (max. 15%). The Rosso (also as Novello and Riserva) is blended from Berzemino = Marzemino (to. 40%), Merlot (to. 20%), Sangiovese (to. 10%), as well as other permitted varieties (max. 10%). The pure Marzemino is produced from 100% of the variety. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna may be indicated followed by the vineyard name.
