The white grape variety comes from Italy, Synonyms are Caricalasino and Carica l'Asino Bianco. Despite apparently suggesting synonyms or morphological No similarities with the varieties Barbera Bianca or Vermentino (Synonym Carica l'Asino) can be confused. The name means "load the donkey", which refers to the profitability or the transport from the vineyard with this animal at harvest. The late ripening vine produces fragrant white wines with aromas of peaches and apricots. Maybe from the region Liguria originating variety was by the phylloxera almost eradicated. Through a reactivation program, Piedmont now cultivated again in small quantities in the two provinces of Alessandria and Novara. There it is basically made with the local varieties Barbera Bianca, Cortese and Timorasso blended. In 2010, 17 hectares of vineyards were shown (Kym Anderson ).
