Carrasco Negro

The red grape variety (also Carrasco) originates from Spain. The parentage is unknown. Nothing is known about a possible genetic relationship to the red variety Carrasco Branco either. It must not be confused with the Carrasquín variety (Carrasco Negro), despite seemingly suggestive synonyms or morphological similarities. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
