Castarède

The oldest Armagnac house "Armagnac Castarède S.A." in Lavardac was founded in 1832. Today it is run by Florence Castarède, the sixth generation of the family. The maturation periods prescribed for the ageing classes are considerably exceeded. The quality classes are VSOP (youngest distillate at least eight years old), Hors d'Age (at least 15 years) and XO (at least 15 years). The product range is characterised by a great variety. Light distillates (Blanche Armagnac) and liqueurs are also produced. The cellars store numerous vintage armagnacs produced only in the best years, the oldest vintage dates back to 1893, and more armagnacs are produced under the Château de Maniban brand.
