Castle Gutenfels

Single location in the municipality of Kaub in the German growing region middle Rhine, It is named after the castle of the same name, which was restored at the end of the 19th century. The southwest-facing vineyards at 100 to 230 meters above sea level have 45 to 60% slope. The Hangfuß is only 150 meters above sea level from the Rhine. Riesling is mainly cultivated here. Castle and location are the sole possession of the pharmaceutical entrepreneur Werner Siekmann; the vineyards are leased to a group of Kauber winemakers.
