Castle Schwabsburg

Single location in the community Nierstein (Area Nierstein) in the German growing area Rheinhessen, It is part of the so-called "red slope" within the Rhine front and closes to the single location Orbel at. The name refers to the only more ruin existing built in the 12th century castle. The stony and shallow soils are made of red slate ( Rotliegendes ). Here is especially the variety Riesling cultivated. Shares in the situation have for example the wineries Huff Fritz Ekkehard and Huff Georg Gustav.
