Cellulose

Main component (also cellulose) of plant cell walls and the most common organic compound or polysaccharide. Cellulose is an important raw material for paper production, as well as in the chemical industry. The substance is insoluble in water and in most organic solvents and is therefore suitable for use in winemaking as a filter aid (plate filter), among other things. Improper storage can lead to the wine defect filter taste.
