Champagne closure

The classic closure for champagne is a special one cork which, due to the high carbon dioxide pressure, has a larger volume / diameter than that for still wines. The cork is by means of Agraffe secured. The small metal capsules placed on the cork are a sought-after collector's item for fans of the Placomusophilie, The company ALCAN developed with the champagne house Duval-Leroy a special closure called MAESTRO, which was presented to the public in mid-2009.
