Chasan

The white grape variety (also INRA 1527-78) is a new breed between Palomino x Chardonnay, The crossing took place in 1958 in France by Paul Truel in the Domaine de Vassal (branch of the University Montpellier ). The early ripening vine is resistant to Botrytis, but prone to real mildew and the Black spots disease, It produces aromatic, rather low-acid white wines of medium alcohol content, which often with Chardonnay be blended.
