The winery is located on the outskirts of Libourne at the western end of the area Pomerol
(Bordeaux). The château was built in 1815 by retired captain Antoine Rabioun. Since 1926 the estate has been owned by the Bourotte family, today it is managed by Pierre Bourotte. In an advisory capacity, the well-known oenologist Michel Rolland
(Born 1947). The vineyards cover 6.5 hectares and are planted with the varieties Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). The long-lived red wine is aged in 50% new oak barrels. The second wine is called "Château Burgrave".
