The winery is on the outskirts of Libourne at the western end of the area Pomerol
(Bordeaux). The château was built in 1815 by retired captain Antoine Rabioun. The estate has been owned by the Bourotte family since 1926 and is now managed by Pierre Bourotte. The well-known oenologist Michel is in an advisory capacity Rolland
(* 1947) active. The vineyards cover 6.5 hectares and are planted with the varieties Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). The long-lived red wine is aged in 50% new barriques. The second wine is called "Château Burgrave".
