Château Cadet-Piola

The winery on the Plateau Calcaire north of Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux) was named after a former mayor of Libourne. It had been owned by the Jabiol family since 1952. The vineyards covered seven hectares of vines with Merlot (51%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Malbec (3%). The establishment was classified as a "Grand Cru Classé" in 2006. The second wine was called "Chevaliers de Malte" (Maltese Knight). In 2009 Château Cadet-Piola was sold to the insurance group "AG2R La Mondiale"; the last vintage under this name was produced in 2011. From 2012 the vineyards became part of the Château Soutard,
