The winery is located in the municipality Saint-Estèphe
or the area of the same name in the Médoc
(Bordeaux). In the Bordeaux Classification
after the old now no longer valid system, it was last classified in 2003 as "Cru Bourgeois". It is owned by the Capbern-Gasqueton family, who also own the Château Calon-Ségur
belongs. It is headed by Madame Gasqueton. The vineyards consist of two parts in the communities of Calon-Ségur and Meyney. They cover 35 hectares of vines and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (35%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lived red wine matures for up to 24 months in 30% new oak barrels. The second wine is called "Le Grand Village Capbern".
