Château Capbern-Gasqueton

The winery is located in the commune of Saint-Estèphe or the area of the same name in the Médoc(Bordeaux). It was last classified as a Cru Bourgeois in the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid, in 2003. It is owned by the Capbern-Gasqueton family, who also own Château Calon-Ségur. It is managed by Madame Gasqueton. The vineyards consist of two parts in the municipalities of Calon-Ségur and Meyney. They cover 35 hectares of vines and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (35%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lasting red wine matures for up to 24 months in barriques, 30% of which are new. The second wine is called "Le Grand Village Capbern".
