According to the old system, which is no longer valid, it was last classified as "Cru Bourgeois" in 2003. It is owned by the Capbern-Gasqueton family, who also owned the Château Calon-Ségur
heard. It is headed by Madame Gasqueton. The vineyards consist of two parts in the municipalities of Calon-Ségur and Meyney. They cover 35 hectares of vineyards and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (35%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lived red wine matures in 24% new barriques for up to 24 months. The second wine is called "Le Grand Village Capbern".
