The estate is located in the commune of Villenave-d'Ornon Pessac-Léognan in Graves (Bordeaux). It was designed by André in 1967 Lurton by acquiring 13 hectares of vineyards INRA belonging Chateau Couhins founded, which he had leased for several years. Six hectares are part of it Sauvignon Blanc and seven hectares with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot planted. In 1992 Lurton also bought the chateau and the old cellar from INRA and renovated both of them. The white wine classified as "Cru Classé" is aged for ten months in 100% new barriques. The second wine is called "Château Cantebeau". The red wine is not classified.
