Château de la Grave

The winery is located in the appellation Côtes de Bourg (Bordeaux). It has been owned by the Bassereau family since 1900, today it is managed by Philippe Bassereau. The vineyards cover 43 hectares, which are planted with the varieties Merlot (78%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Malbec (2%). The flagship of the house is the red wine "Nectar" made from 90% Merlot, which is matured in 100% new oak barrels. The "Charactère" is pressed with a higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. The second wine is called "Château La Croix de Bel-Air-Tradition" with a higher percentage of Malbec.
