Château de Pibarnon

The estate is located in the commune of La Cadière-d'Azur in the Var department in the very south of the French region Provence near the Mediterranean. It was founded in 1975 by the Parisian parents of the current owner, Comte Éric de Saint-Victor. The vineyards cover 50 hectares of vineyards on terraced cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. They are planted with the red varieties Mourvèdre, Cinsaut and Grenache Noir, as well as the white varieties Clairette and Bourboulenc. The flagship is the long-lasting AC red wine Bandol 95% Mourvèdre, which is traditionally aged for 18 months in large oak barrels. A rosé from Mourvèdre and Cinsaut is also produced.
