The winery is located in the municipality of Libourne in the Pomerol region (Bordeaux). It has been owned by the noble Lambert family since the late 15th century. Today it is run by the widow of Henri de Lambert, assisted by his son Paul. The impressive château, which stands in a park, dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The vineyards cover 48 hectares of vines. They are planted with the Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) varieties. The long-lasting red wine matures for 16 to 18 months in barriques, one third of which are new. The second wine is called "Château Chantalouette".
