The winery with headquarters in Kesrouan in the Kfardebian Valley in Lebanon
was founded in 1985 by dr. Carlos Adem founded. The origin goes back to a family-owned distillery for 300 years. The own vineyards with 20 hectares of vineyards are located at 1,400 to 1,500 meters above sea level near Ehmez. There are also another 20 leased acres in the Bekaatal. They are planted with the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Syrah, as well as the white varieties Clairette and Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano). The premium wine is the Cuvée Château Fakra (Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Cinsaut). Other brands include Blanc Esternel, Château Fakra Cabernet Sauvignon, Cuvée du Temple Rouge, Rosé d'Atargatis, Pinacle de Farka and Fakra Blanc de Blancs. Every year around 240,000 bottles of wine are produced, 40% of which are exported to France, Canada and Russia.
