The winery is located east of Saint-Emilion
in the same area (Bordeaux). The estate, formerly known as Château Petit-Faurie-de-Souchard, was renamed to distinguish it from the neighboring Château Petit-Faurie-de-Soutard. It belongs to the family Jabiol-Sciard. The farm is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines, which are planted with the varieties Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (26%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (9%). The long-lived red wine is aged in one-third new oak barrels.
