The winery is located in the municipality Listrac-Médoc
or the same area in Médoc
(Bordeaux). In the Bordeaux Classification
according to the old system, which is no longer valid, it was last classified as "Cru Bourgeois Supérieur" in 2003. The former domain Roulet was acquired in 1843 by the lawyer Jean Baptiste Antoine Dupré. He redesigned and renovated the company buildings and the country palace. A high quality standard was achieved under the direction of Guy Pagès from 1967 to 1985. Today it is run by son Patrice Pagés. The vineyards cover 44 hectares of vineyards planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (44%) and Cabernet Franc (12%). The long-lived red wine is aged for 15 to 18 months in 33% new barriques. The second wine is called "Château Bellevue-Laffont".
