The winery is located in the commune of Listrac-Médoc or the area of the same name in the Médoc(Bordeaux). It was last classified as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid, in 2003. The former Roulet domain was acquired by the lawyer Jean Baptiste Antoine Dupré in 1843. He reorganised and renovated the farm buildings and the country château. Under the management of Guy Pagès from 1967 to 1985, a high standard of quality was achieved. Today it is run by his son Patrice Pagés. The vineyards cover 44 hectares of vines planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (44%) and Cabernet Franc (12%). The long-lasting red wine is matured for 15 to 18 months in 33% new barriques. The second wine is called "Château Bellevue-Laffont".
