The winery is located on the main road to Libourne in Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It was bought in 1980 by the Bécot family, who also own the Château Beau-Séjour-Bécot, Château Jonanin Becot and La Gomerie estates.. It is managed by Sylvie Pourquet-Bécot. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 14 hectares and are planted with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 12 to 18 months in 80% new barriques.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
