Château Grand-Pontet

The winery is located on the main road to Libourne in Saint-Emilion in the same area (Bordeaux). It was bought in 1980 by the Bécot family, who also owned the wineries Château Beau-Séjour-Bécot, Château Jonanin Becot and La Gomerie. , It is run by Sylvie Pourquet-Bécot. The farm is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 14 hectares and are planted with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). The long-lived red wine matures for 12 to 18 months in 80% new oak barrels.
