The vineyard (also known as Château Lafleur Pétrus) is located in the Pomerol area (Bordeaux). It is located opposite the famous Château Pétrus, but cannot be compared with it due to the different soil (more gravel, no clay or sand). Like the latter, however, it belongs to the Moueix family empire. In 1994, it was expanded to include a part of the neighbouring Château Le Gay estate planted with old vines. The vineyards cover 13.5 hectares and are planted with Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 18 to 22 months in barriques.
