The vineyard is located north of the town of Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). The origins of the estate date back to the 16th century, when winegrowing was already documented. At the beginning of the 20th century, it came into the possession of the Meneret family, who finally sold it to the insurance company "AG2R La Mondiale" in 1990. It is managed by P. Maniez and P. Dutoille. The estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 25 hectares of Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). The long-lasting red wine is aged for up to 18 months in two-thirds new barriques. The second wine is called "Le Cadet de Larmande".
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
