The winery is located in the city Saint-Emilion
in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It was founded in 1882 by the Meslin family, who was mentioned here as a winemaker as early as 1610. The château was built in 1885. The estate has been run by Guy Meslin since 1986. The establishment is classified as a "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 27 hectares of vines with Merlot (68%), Cabernet Franc (26%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (6%). The red wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in 50% new barriques. The second wine is called "Lafleur Laroze".
