The wine estate in Saint-Émilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux) is classified as a Grand Cru Classé. It has been owned by the Bernard family since 1962 and was last managed by Véronique Gaboriaud-Bernard. The vineyards comprised 12 hectares of Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Franc (50%). The red wine was aged for 12 months in barriques, one third of which were new. In 2011, the estate was purchased for eight million euros by the Wertheimer family, who own the neighbouring Château Canon. Only 1.18 hectares of Cabernet Franc were integrated into the Château Canon parcel for the 2012 classification, with the remaining 11 hectares going into the second wine "Croix Canon".
