The winery is located in the municipality of Ordonnac in the Médoc (Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux). In the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid, it was previously classified as Cru Bourgeois and most recently in 2003 as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. It has been owned by the Delon family, which also owns Château Léoville-Las-Cases, for over 250 years. Today it is managed by Jean-Hubert Delon. The vineyards cover 57 hectares and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (25%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lasting red wine matures for 12 to 16 months in barriques, 20% of which are new. The second wine is called "La Chapelle de Potensac".

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
