The estate is located in the Ordonnac commune Médoc
(Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux). In the Bordeaux Classification
According to the old system, which is no longer valid, it was previously classified as "Cru Bourgeois" and most recently in 2003 as "Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel". It has been owned by the Delon family for over 250 years Château Léoville-Las-Cases
heard. Today it is managed by Jean-Hubert Delon. The vineyards cover 57 hectares and are planted with the varieties Cabernet-Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (25%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The long-lived red wine is aged for 12 to 16 months in 20% new barriques. The second wine is called "La Chapelle de Potensac".
