Cheerful Clemens

The estate is located in the commune of Escherndorf (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region Franconia, A guest house with guest rooms is attached. The owners Clemens and Ingrid Fröhlich started with half a hectare in 1987. Today, the vineyards cover over five hectares of vineyards in individual locations Carthusian (Astheim), mountain, Furstenberg and bounder (Escherndorf). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Morio-Muskat, Kerner, Ortega and Bacchus, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir and Domina. The wines are fermented cool with pure yeast and Franconian dry (i.e. with a maximum of 4 g / l residual sugar) or semi-dry. A sparkling wine is also produced. If the weather is suitable, an ice wine is also made. Fine spirits (pomace, yeast, grapes, fruit from one hectare of fruit trees) are produced in the in-house distillery.
