Cheerful Clemens

The estate is located in the municipality of Escherndorf (area Maindreieck) in the German wine-growing region Franconia, A guest house with guest rooms is connected. The owners Clemens and Ingrid Fröhlich started in 1987 with half a hectare. Today, the vineyards cover over five hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Carthusian (Astheim), mountain, Furstenberg and bounder (Escherndorf). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Sylvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Morio-Muscat, Kerner, Ortega and Bacchus, and the red varieties Pinot Noir and Domina. The wines are fermented cool with pure culture yeasts and Franconian dry (ie with a maximum of 4 g / l residual sugar) or semi-dry removed. It is also produced a sparkling wine. In weather-appropriate years, an ice wine is also pressed. In the in-house distillery, brandies (pomace, yeast, grape, fruit of one hectare of fruit trees) are produced.
