Chinosol

Chinosol W (trade name) is an antifungal fungicide, which consists of the active ingredients hydroxyquinoline sulfate and potassium sulfate. In viticulture it is used to prevent Botrytis and pathogenic fungi in the soil of noble travelers and documents at the finishing used. For this purpose, these are immersed in a 0.5% quinosol solution for 12 to 18 hours. The drug was administered by the long-time director of the institute Geisenheim Dr. Helmut Becker (1927-1990) successfully introduced in the 1960s.
