The red variety comes from Greece, Synonyms are Chondromavrouda, Chondromavroudi, Chondromavroudo and Khondromavroud. She may not with the morphological different species Sefka (to be confused with the confusing synonym Chondromavro) ( DNA analysis are missing, as of 2013). The late-ripening vine is prone to Botrytis, It produces low-acid reds with gentle tannins, which are also known as Liastos (Sweet wine made from dried grapes).
