Clairette de Bellegarde

The appellation is located in the northeast of the French wine-growing region Languedoc, It is an enclave within the Rhone counting range Costieres de Nimes, but becomes the wine law Languedoc assigned. It was classified as AOC in 1949 and belongs to the second quality category "Grands Vins du Languedoc". The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards on mighty gravel soils around the municipality of Bellegarde in the department Gard, The white wine is 100% unmixed from the variety Clairette vinified.
