Clairette de Bellegarde

The appellation is located in the northeast of the French wine-growing region Languedoc, It is an enclave within the Rhone counting area Costières de Nîmes, but is legally under the Languedoc assigned. It was classified as AOC in 1949 and belongs to the second quality category "Grands Vins du Languedoc". The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards on mighty gravel soils around the community Bellegarde in the Département Gard, The white wine becomes 100% unmixed of the sort Clairette vinified.
