Classese

One in the Italian region Lombardy in the area Oltrepò Pavese protected designation for a means bottle fermentation after Metodo classico Sparkling wine made from Pinot Nero ( Pinot Noir ) with former DOC classification. It is composed of Classico and Pavese. However, since the collection of sparkling wines produced using bottle fermentation as DOCG in 2007, this term has only been used rarely. However, as a flush wine name (compared to the rather long DOCG name) it is still on the labels to find.
