The white grape comes from France, It may not be with the independent variety Claverie (Claverie Blanc). According to done in 2013 DNA analysis it comes from a presumably natural cross between Ardonnet (red) x Crouchen (White). However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see under molecular Genetics ). It is a pure female grape, However, it no longer has any significance; in 2010, no stocks were reported (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
