Positive term (also pure-toned) for a wine (also pure, pure-toned) in the context of a wine address or wine evaluation that is completely free of extraneous or off-tones. The term is to be understood in context, it can refer to the smell and taste and/or the colour or appearance of a wine. A related term is healthy and clear with regard to colour. Opposite terms with negative connotations are sick and unclean.
