Clos du Bois

The estate is located in Healdsburg in Alexander Valley in California Sonoma County (Region North Coast ). It was founded in 1974 by Frank Woods and his partner Thomas Reed. At first it should be called "Woods Vineyards", but the French-studying children of Woods finally chose the original name (French: bois = forest, Clos du Bois = Vineyard of the Woods). After several changes of ownership, the estate was finally owned by Constellation Brands Bought. Winemaker since 2003 is Erik Olsen, who is at Mondavi and Simi Winery had worked. The vineyards cover 370 hectares in the vineyard Alexander Valley, Grapes from the AVA Dry Creek Valley, Knights Valley, Los Carneros. Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast (all Sonoma County, North Coast), as well Monterey ( Central Coast ) bought. The grape growers are supported by Clos du Bois in the cultivation of their vineyards.
