The estate is located in the community Trittenheim (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle
, Since 1991 it is run by Ernst Clüsserath. The vineyards cover just over three hectares of vineyards in the Trittenheimer individual layers Altärchen
, They are almost exclusively planted with the Riesling (3.1 ha), as well as small amounts of Kerner and Müller-Thurgau. In the vineyards there is a consistent, natural management with fertilization on an organic basis, as well as complete abandonment herbicides
, The musts are fermented as spontaneously as possible at constant temperatures between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, and half of them are aged in classic wooden barrels and in stainless steel tanks. Every year around 25,000 bottles of wine are produced. Eighty percent of this goes directly to the end user, the remainder is exported to the United States.
