DOC area for red wine and white wine in the Italian region of Lazio (Frizzante and Spumante were eliminated in 2011). The extensive zone includes areas of 25 municipalities on the border of the two provinces of Rieti and Roma. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard. The Bianco is blended from Malvasia del Lazio (50%), Trebbiano Toscano and/or Trebbiano Giallo (5-35%), and other authorised varieties (max. 15%). The Rosso is produced from Sangiovese (40-70%), Montepulciano (15-40%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 30%).
