Colline Joniche Tarantine

DOC area for white wines, red wines and rosé wines in the Italian region of Puglia The zone includes the municipalities of Crispiano, Laterza, Martina Franca and Mottola, as well as parts of the municipalities of Castellaneta, Ginosa, Grottaglie, Massafra, Palagianello and Statte in the province of Taranto. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the name of the vineyard can be indicated on the bottle label.

The Bianco and Bianco Spumante wines are made from at least 50% Chardonnay. Rosso (also known as Novello, Superiore and Riserva) and Rosato are made from at least 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The pure wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety; these are Primitivo = Tribidrag (also as Superiore, Riserva and Liquoroso) and Verdeca. For all these wines, other authorised varieties are allowed for the remaining part.
