Concorso Enologico Internazionale

Under this title there are two international wine competitions in Italy every year. Since 1981, a competition for importers and producers has been held in Milan as an accompanying event to Expo-Food. Around 150 wines from ten countries are usually judged. According to EU wine law, awards received may be indicated on the label. A second competition will be held in Verona as part of Vinitaly for producers from all over the world. The jury is composed of 16 groups of testers, including oenologists and wine journalists from Italy and abroad. See also under Awards and Wine Events.
