Conegliano (grape variety)

The white grape variety (also Dalmasso XIII-11) is, according to the entry in the breeding list, a new breed between Hárslevelü x Malvasia Trevisana (Malvasia Trevigiana = Malvasia Bianca Lunga ). The father variety became ex VIVC catalog therefore assumed that "Trevigiana" translated means "the Trevisan". According to DNA analysis but neither Hárslevelü nor Malvasia Bianca Lunga come into question. The actual parenthood is therefore unknown. The crossing took place at the Istituto Sperimentale per la Viticoltura in Conegliano (Veneto) in 1936 by the Italian breeder Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). No holdings were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson ).

But there are also several table grapes called Conegliano and then the following numbers 120, 199 (Conegliano Précoce), 213 and 218, which also at this institute from the varieties Italia x Volta were crossed.
