A historical fluid measure for wine, which usually meant a barrel or wooden container with locally different volumes. The name is derived from "Fassbinden" (see under cooper ). In current usage, this means a bottled or bottled wine of indefinite quantity. In a broader sense, this can also characterize the quality, a wine bottled exclusively in the container (ie not in bottles) is usually of lesser or simpler quality.
